Trees 3–12 m tall. Dark brown rhytidome papyraceous vertically. Branches erect, cylindrical, not winged, rufous; branches, petioles, leaves abaxial surface, inflorescence, bracts, bracteoles, hypanthium and fruits, with dendritic caducous trichomes. Leaves opposite, isophyllous; petioles striate 1.7–4.9 cm long; leaf blades 2.46–35.2 × 11.2–15.1 cm, discolored, elliptical or oblong-elliptic, base acute, apex acuminate, margins entire or denticulate, not ciliate, adaxial side with dendritic trichomes only at the central veins or in young leaves, leaf veins 5, basal; ant domatia absent. Paniculate 13.5–39 × 4.6–26 cm, terminal; bracts ca. 19 mm long, elliptical, caducous; bracteoles not seen. Flowers 5-merous, sessile; hypanthium 3.1 mm long, campanulate, smooth; calyx simple, caducous; lacinia triangular; petals ca. 2.9 × 2 mm, white, obovate, symmetrical, apex rounded, base attenuate, margins not ciliate, glabrous; stamens 10, heteromorphic, smaller anthers ca. 2.3 mm long, larger anthers ca. 3 mm long, white, lanceolate, curved, apex attenuate, 1 apical pore, connective not prolonged, smaller filaments ca. 2.4. mm long, larger filaments ca. 3.1 mm long, glabrous; ovary ca. 1 mm long, half-inferior, placentation axillary, 3-locular, with dendritic trichomes; style ca. 5.4 mm long, straight, with dendritic persistent trichomes. Berry ca. 3.5 × 3.6 mm, unripe fruit green, ripe fruit blackish; up to 15 seeds per fruit, triangular.

Distribution and habitat:— Venezuela, French Guiana, Peru, Bolivia ( Goldenberg et al. 2013) In Brazil it occurs in Amazonian forests ( Goldenberg & Caddah 2015). In the reserve, it occurs in “terra firme” lowlands, on clay and sandy, wet soils near streams.

Comments:— This species is frequent in the reserve.It can be recognized by the dark brown rhytidome,papyraceous, leaves with the abaxial surface brown and pulverulent, with dendritic trichomes.
