Specimens examined: — BRAZIL. Amazonas , Manaus, RDS-Tupé, 31 January 2013, fr., A. L. Corrêa 140 ( EAFM!, HUAM!, INPA!) ; 01 February 2013, fl., fr., A. L. Corrêa 145 ( EAFM!, HUAM!, INPA!) ; 27 April 2013, fr., A. L. Corrêa 211 ( INPA!) ; 27 April 2013, fr., A. L. Corrêa 213 ( EAFM!, HUAM!, INPA!) .

Distribution and habitat: — Colombia, Venezuela ( Berry et al. 2001). In Brazil it occurs in Amazonian forests ( Michelangeli & Reginato 2015). In the reserve, it occurs in “ campinarana”, in shaded environments with a lot of organic matter.

Comments: —This s pecies is common in the reserve. Among the species from the “campinarana”, it can be distinguished by the axillary flowers and the oblong-winged seeds.
