Type material. 12 Syntypes: Lectotype here designated (male): „ Omilteme, Guerrero, 8000 ft., Aug. H.H. Smith “ \ „ Type “ [red circle], ( BMNH) . Paralectotypes: (1 spec.): the same data as lectotype ( JHAC); (3 males, 1 female) : “Chilpancingo, Guerrero, 4600 ft., June H. H. Smith ”, ( BMNH); (1 male) : “ Xucumanatlan , Guerrero, 7000 ft., July H. H. Smith ”, ( BMNH) .

Remarks. According the characters mentioned by Beal (1975, 1985) the species belongs to the C. haplotes species group.

Distribution. Species known from Mexico: Guerrero.
