Records. Recorded by hunter interviews (09°16.958′S, 068°57.708′W) and opportunistic sightings.
Identification. The body is large and robust, with a massive head. The ears are short and rounded, the limbs short, and the tail thick. The fur is grayish on the head and shoul- ders but finely dashed and dark brown on the rest of the dorsum, with two or more rows of white circular spots on each longitudinal half of the body, from the shoulder girdle to the base of the tail ( White and Alberico 1992).
