Holotype: BMNH 1901.12.31.15, 42 mm SL, female.

D: X, 15 to 17. A: III, 7 or 8. P: 18 to 20. C: 15 (8 + 7). V: 26 (10 + 16 or 11 + 15), rarely 27 (11 + 16). S: 1 or 2 (usually 2). GR: 8 to 11 + 22 to 28. LL: 46 to 52. CP: 25 to 27.
Distribution: Indo–Pacific: widespread, east Africa to Line Islands.
