Holotype: SAIAB 168, 50.5 mm SL.

Type locality: Aldabra Island, western Indian Ocean. Illustrations: Kuiter, 2004: 88; Randall & McCosker, 1992:10, fig. 2.

D: X, 16. A: II, 9. P: 21 to 23. C: 15 (8 + 7). V: 26. GR: 7 or 8 + 21 to 23. LL: 70 to 76.

Distribution: western Indian Ocean (Aldabra in the Seychelles and the Agaléga Islands—two outer islands of Mauritius).
