Type locality: Port Maricaban, Luzon Island, Philippines. Illustrations: Kuiter, 2004:89 (figs. A–D); Randall & McCosker, 1992, pl. IC & D, pl. IIA & B.

D: X, 15 to 17 (usually 16). A: III, 7. P: 17 to 21 (modally 19). C: 15 (8 + 7). V: 26 (11 + 15). S: 1 or 2 (usually 2). GR: 7 to 10 + 19 to 22. LL: 51 to 59.

Distribution: Indo–west Pacific: Seychelles to the Loyalty Islands and Japan.
