7. Amblypsilopus longus sp. nov.
( Figs. 6, 7 View FIGURE 7 )
Diagnosis. Four paired acr, posterior 2 ones relatively long. Antenna brownish yellow; first flagellomere wider than long, nearly semicircular. Fore tibia slightly thickened basally ( Fig. 6). Fore tarsomere 1 more than twice as long as tarsomeres 2–5; tarsomere 5 distinctly flattened with lateral lamellate setae ( Fig. 6). Cercus long band-like, with very long blackish apical setae nearly as long as cercus ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ).
Description. Male. Body length 3.1 mm, wing length 3.1 mm.
Head brightly metallic green with pale grey pruinosity. Setulae and setae on head black except middle and lower postocular setae including postero-ventral setulae pale yellow; frons with 1 short curved, seta-like anterior setula on posterolateral slope; 1 long vt. Ocellar tubercle with 2 long strong oc and 2 posterior setulae. Antenna brownish yellow; pedicel with circlet of short blackish apical setae except 1 dorsal seta and 1 ventral seta relatively long; first flagellomere short, nearly semicircular, wider than long; arista dorsal, blackish. Proboscis yellow with pale yellow setulae; palpus yellow with pale setulae and 2 brownish yellow setae.
Thorax brightly metallic green with pale grey pruinosity. Setulae and setae on thorax black; 2 long strong posterior dc and 3 anterior setulae; 4 paired acr (anterior 2 paired acr very short and setula-like, posterior 2 paired acr relatively long); 1 ih, 1 ph, 1 su, 2 sa, 1 psa, 2 npl; scutellum with 2 sc, basal pair absent. Legs yellow except fore tarsomeres 1–4 brown and tarsomere 5 black, mid and hind tarsomere 5 dark brown. Setulae and setae on legs black except coxae with pale yellow setulae and setae. Fore coxa with 3 setae, hind coxa with 1 exterior seta. Fore and mid femora thickened with narrowed apex. Fore tibia slightly thickened basally, and without distinct dorsal setae; apically with 1 short av. Mid tibia with 3 weak av; apically with 1 strong av and 1 strong pv. Hind tibia with 3–4 weak pd and 3 weak av; apically with 1 ad and 1 av. Fore tarsomere 1 much elongated, more than twice as long as tarsomeres 2–5, with 1 av and 1 pv at extreme base; tarsomere 5 distinctly flattened with lateral lamellate setae. Hind tarsomere 1 with 1 ventral seta at extreme base. Relative length ratio of tibiae and tarsomeres: LI 2.6: 4.6: 0.7: 0.7: 0.4: 0.3; LII 2.85: 3.1: 0.7: 0.5: 0.3: 0.15; LIII 4.7: 1.9: 0.9: 0.55: 0.3: 0.15. Wing hyaline, veins dark brown. Vein M1 basally curved at obtuse angle. Crossvein m-cu straight, CuAx ratio 1.35. Squama yellow with dark brown margin and with pale setulae. Halter dark yellow.
Abdomen curved downward, pale metallic green with thin pale gray pruinosity. Setulae and setae on abdomen black. Male genitalia ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ): Epandrium distinctly longer than wide in lateral view; epandrial lobe indistinct. Surstylus short finger-like, with 1 long apical seta and 1 short subapical seta. Cercus dark yellow, long band-like, with long blackish lateral setulae and very long blackish apical setae nearly as long as cercus. Hypandrium apically mostly hidden within epandrium in lateral view.
Female. Unknown.
Type material. Holotype 3, Vietnam: Vinh Phuc, Me Linh Station (10°46'N, 106°42'E), 2011. X.2, G.Q. Wang.
Distribution. Oriental: Vietnam (Vinh Phuc).
Remarks. This new species is somewhat similar to A. josephi Meuffels et Grootaert, 1999 from Jiangxi of China, but can be separated from it by the fore tibia without rowed pv and male cercus without finger-like lateral process but with very long apical setae. In A. josephi , the fore tibia has one row of pv on apical 2/5, and the cercus has a finger-like lateral process at middle and lacks very long apical setae (Parent, 1927).
Etymology. The specific name refers to the very long fore tarsomere 1.
8. Amblypsilopus neoparvus (Dyte)
Sciapus neoparvus Dyte, 1975: 229 (new name for Sciapus parvus Parent, 1934 , nec Van Duzee, 1933). Sciapus parvus Parent, 1934: 296 . Type locality: Vietnam: Ninh Binh, Cho-Ganh.
Diagnosis. Seven paired acr. Legs mostly yellow; fore coxa yellow, mid and hind coxae black. Fore tarsomere 5 distinctly flattened with lateral lamellate setae. Male cercus distinctly bent.
Distribution. Oriental: Vietnam (Ninh Binh), China.
