Material examined. HONSHU: Tochigi Pref.: 1 ˁ, Nakagawa, Wami, 36°45′N 140°9′E, coll. larva, on Rubus parvifolius , 16. GoogleMaps VI. 2019, em. 9. IV. 2020, S. Ibuki; 1 ˁ, same data but 36°46′N 140°10′E, coll. larva ( Fig. 8B View Fig ) on Rubus parvifolius , 16. GoogleMaps VI. 2019, mat. 24. VI., em. 16. IV. 2020 .

Larva. Late instar larva ( Fig. 8B View Fig ): head pale brownish green; trunk entirely pale green except for green middorsal stripe, with many branched spines; legs, spines and spiracles whitish. Mature larva: 12 mm long, pale green, without spines.

Host plant. Rosaceae : Rubus parvifolius L. (new record).

Life history. This species has one generation a year. The larva is solitary and eats the inside of leaves. The larva performs the extra larval molt and then makes a cocoon in the soil. Hibernation is done in the cocoon.

Remarks. The larva and host plant are recorded for the first time.
