Material. Anda1 (1) RGM 961.792, Anda4 (1) RGM 961.793, AndaDeVos (1) RGM 961.794, Roxas (7) RGM 961.795.

Characterization. Shell small; H 3.42 mm, W 1.96 mm; protoconch slightly elevated, 1.2 whorl, DP 0.56 mm; nucleus small, DN 0.26 mm; teleoconch strongly sculpted with punctuated spiral grooves, widest near suture; aperture narrow, expanded anteriorly; inner lip covered with thin callus, lamella present near columella; columella with pronounced double fold; umbilicus closed.

Distribution. Off Choshi peninsula, Japan, in 400 m ( Hori, 2000). Aliguay Island, Philippines, in 50–150 m ( Willan & Tagaro, 2010).

Remarks. Pupa reussi (Martin, 1879) is also very similar in its shape, but its sculpture is much weaker, with shallower and slightly narrower spiral grooves.
