( Figs 24–28 View FIGURES 24 – 28 )
Diagnosis. Scutum dark brown with contrasting yellow postpronotal lobe, entirely covered with dense golden pruinescence; posteroventral surface of femora, posterior surface of fore tibia and mid tibia entirely pale yellow, otherwise legs pale brown.
Etymology. From the Latin “ bi ” (two) and “ punctum ” (little dot), in reference to the dark brown scutum with contrasting yellow postpronotal calli.
Description. Holotype male. Body: 3.5 mm. Wing: 3.5 mm. Head: antenna brown, located above middle of head; scape 1.2 times longer than pedicel; postpedicel conical, flattened, as long as scape and pedicel combined, twice longer than wide; stylus bare, apical. Ocellar triangle protuberant, two pairs of proclinate ocellar setae, anterior pair elongate, posterior pair one-fourth length of anterior pair. Holoptic, frons moderately long, 1.5 times length of face. Proboscis yellow; palpus dark brown bearing 2 long median bristles. Postcranium dark brown with golden pruinescence; postoculars elongated, scattered, upper setae longest. Thorax: entirely covered with dense golden pruinescence; pronotum and scutum dark brown, except anterolateral margin of scutum brownish yellow, as well as scutellum and postalar callus, postpronotal lobe yellow, mesopleuron brownish yellow with anepisternum and katepisternum slightly darkened. Bristles thin, elongate and scattered; acr and dc uniserial. Differentiated bristles: 1 strong npl; posterior dc longer than anterior dc; 1 short pal; 1 long and strong apical sctl and 1 lateral bristle half length of apical. Wing: sub-hyaline; R1 meeting C beyond middle of wing; cell dm emitting 2 veins; cell cu p present. Legs: coxae, trochanters, posteroventral surface of femora, posterior surface of fore tibia and entire mid tibia pale yellow; fore and mid tarsomeres 2–5, apex of hind tibia and hind tarsus dark brown; otherwise legs pale brown; coxae and trochanters with white pruinescence. Fore and hind tibiae setulose ventrally near apex. Hind femur and tibia slightly clavate near apex. Differentiated bristles: fore tibia with 4PV along length; fore tarsomere 1 bearing 1V apical, 2A and 4P long; fore tarsomere 2 with 1PV basal; mid femur with 1A sub-apical and row with 3AV; mid tibia with 1A near middle and 1A apical, 1AD basal, 1D near middle, 3AV at apical third and 2V at apical fourth; hind femur bearing 1A strong apical, 1AV at middle and 1AV near apex, hind tibia with 1AD near base and 1AD at middle, 1D near base, 3D at apical fourth, 1D strong apical and 5PV on apical half. Abdomen: shiny brown, tergites 1–3 somewhat paler, except sternites 1–3 pale yellow; tergite 7 with white lateral pruinescence and wholly sternite 7, tergite and sternite 8 with golden pruinescence, other sternites with median stripe of white pruinescence. Bristles yellow to brownish yellow, thin, short and scattered, tergite 8 circlet with long bristles. Terminalia: hypandrium short, 1.3 times longer than wide with slightly concave apex ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ); epandrium short, not deeply cleft dorsally, epandrial lamellae broadly fused basally ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ); left epandrial lamella slightly shorter than right, with robust and short dorsoapical process ( Figs 25, 27 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ); right surstylus shorter than left, robust, somewhat wider apically ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ); left surstylus simple, slightly concave on inner surface ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ); articulated distal portion of phallus simple, about half length of basal portion, with basal process short ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 24 – 28 ). Female. Unknown.
