Echinodorus heikobleheri Rataj (2004: 33 View in CoL , 38–39, Fig. on the front side of the cover)
Holotype: nonexistent, but indicated in the protologue (see Somogyi 2017).
Lectotype (designated here): photograph in Rataj (2004: 39, Fig. 5).
Epitype (designated here):—Cultivated in the Karel Rataj nursery in Šumperk, Czech Republic, 19 October 2016, Jozef Somogyi ( W). Isoepitype in WU. These specimens were designated as the neotype and the isoneotype by Somogyi (2017: 15).
The lectotype photograph is ambiguous and cannot be critically identified (the details necessary for correct identification are not visible) for purposes of the precise application of the name to a taxon, therefore an epitype is designated (Art. 9.9 of the Shenzhen Code).
The submersed plants in the photograph on page 33 of the protologue most probably do not belong to the genus Echinodorus .
The name E. heikobleheri is a synonym of the earlier name Echinodorus grisebachii Small (1909: 46) .
