Smetana, 2007: 46 ( Ocypus ; subgenus Pseudocypus ; Type locality: China, Sichuan, Wenchuan); Schülke & Smetana, 2015: 1091 ( Ocypus ; subgenus Pseudocypus ; Catalog of Palaearctic Region).
Distribution. Ocypus bion is at present known from Wenchuan County in northwestern Sichuan Province.
