Specimens examined. 1 ♂, CYPRUS, Ayios Therapon, Roadside + scrub etc., 16.v.1983, I.F.G. M c Lean [PJCC]; 1 ♂, CRETE, Samaria Gorge, Pinus brutia, 17.v.1982, I.F.G. M c Lean [PJCC].
The type species of this genus is found in the Mediterranean Region and has been recently collected as far north as southern Sweden (J. Kjaerandsen, pers. comm.). The male terminalia (dorsal and ventral view), female terminalia (dorsal view), and a portion of the antenna of this species are illustrated in Chandler et al. (2006).
