Thyatira arizana Wileman, 1910: 291 . Type-locality: Formosa [ Taiwan], Arizan. Holotype ♂ (BMNH).
Remarks. This species was incorrectly treated as a subspecies of M. flavimargo by Werny (1966). The treatment was accepted by Zhao (2004). Laszlo et al. (2007) restored Macrothyatira flavimargo arizana ( Wileman, 1910) to specific rank.
