Origin of the specimens examined: Riparian Forest: Bauhinia longifolia (Bong.) Steud. (Caesalpinaceae) , VI-2004 (1), VII-2004 (1), VIII (1); Miconia sp., III-2004 (1), IV-2004 (1); Myrtaceae sp.4, VII-2004 (1). Previous records: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Venezuela.

Previous records: Brazil.
Remarks: This was the third most abundant phytoseiid species found on plants of the Myrtaceae family in the Cerrado of São Paulo State ( Lofego & Moraes 2006).
