Distribution. Polistes nigritarsis was recorded from the northwestern part, middle and Tay Nguyen areas in the south of Vietnam. This species could be distributed throughout the country. This species was recorded from the northeastern part (West Bengal, Meghalaya) and southern part (Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu) of India. Likes Polistes delhiensis , it has a disjunct distribution and intensive field work probably will fill the gap in the distribution of the species.
