= Skeptrostachys stenorrhynchoides Szlachetko (1994b: 418) View in CoL . Type:― BRAZIL. Minas Gerais, 1816–21, Saint-Hilaire B2/2410 (holotype P [online image!]).
Notes: ― Szlachetko & Rutkowski (2008: 163) designated as lectotype a specimen sine loco and coll. supposedly at B but destroyed, a clearly untenable proposal. Therefore, we choose an isotype to be the lectotype.
The description of the protologue and the examination of the type material of S. stenorrhynchoides shows that this plant is conspecific with S. paraguayensis , and it is thus considered here as its synonym.
