Ephemeroporus barroisi Richard, 1894

Distribution in Côte d’Ivoire: Buyo Lake ( Yté et al. 1996; Kouamé et al. 2018); Sassandra River watershed ( Kouamé et al. 2018); Davo River ( Kouamé et al. 2018).

Synonyms: Pleuroxus barroisi Richard 1894 ; Chydorus barroisi Richard 1894 ; Ephemeroporus barroisi barroisi Richard 1894 .

World distribution: E. barroisi is recorded as distributed in Syria, Iran, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Africa, Nicaragua and North America by Smirnov (1996) in Yalım and Çıplak (2010). It is also regarded as circumtropical species by Maiphae et al. (2008), but according to Kotov et al. (2013b), this species is recorded in all zoogeographical regions, except in the Antarctic region and may be qualified as tropicopolitan species.
