Discussion: Zheng and Jiang (2002) erected the genus Miriatroides and described the type species Miriatroides quadrivertex from Guangxi in China. Spadotettix hainanensis was found and described by Günther in 1939 from Hainan in China. But we restudied the type species of Miriatroides quadrivertex and examined specimens of Spadotettix hainanensis collected from Hainan in China and compared with the figures of the holotype of Spadotettix hainanensis , found that structures and coloration of Miriatroides quadrivertex were same as Spadotettix hainanensis Günther, 1939 , and this species is here regarded as a synonym of Spadotettix hainanensis . Thus, we synonymize Miriatroides quadrivertex Zheng & Jiang, 2002 syn. nov. with Spadotettix hainanensis Günther, 1939 and genus Miriatroides Zheng & Jiang, 2002 syn. nov. with the genus Spadotettix Hancock, 1910 . Spadotettix hainanensis was recorded by Günther (1939) from China (Hainan), and this is the first record in Guangxi.
