Relation to host: A vagrant on the lower leaf surface. No apparent damage was observed.

Remarks: This new species is the second species in Pangacarus Manson, 1984 . This new species differs from P. grisalis by the shield design with median line, and with 3 transverse lines between the admedian lines.

Etymology: The specific designation is derived from the locality “ Taiwan ”, in reference to this species being the first species of Pangacarus found in Taiwan.
