Diagnosis (compiled from the diagnosis of Smith (1983) and the characters of the below described species): idiosoma nearly round, flattened dorsoventrally. Sclerites nearly lacking reticulation, covered with fine punctuations. Dp nearly rounded, broadly convex anteriorly or slightly pointed, bearing 4 pairs of setae. Venter with cxp of each side separated by complete suture lines, only CXI completely separated from CXII + CXIII or also CXII separated from CXIII; one or two transverse muscle attachment scars present. Expp subtriangular with lateral edges slightly sinuate, Expp setae slender (about as long as plate) or distinctly shorter, leg chaetotaxy: IL: 1se, 7se, 4se+1so, 7se+2so, 13se+1so+1eu, IIL: 1se, 7se, 4se+1so, 8se+2so, 12se+1so+1eu, IIIL: 1se, 6se, 4se+1so, 8se+1so, 10se. Gnathosoma recessed beneath anterior edge of Dp such that only tips of chelicerae and pedipalps exposed in dorsal view or complete gnathosoma is invisible.
