Bordoni, 2012a: 299 (Type locality: China, Sichuan, Xingxing dint., Minya Konka ) .
Type material: male, with labels as follows: “ HOLOTYPUS, Megalinus , xingxing sp. n., Bordoni det. 2011” / “Cina-Sichuan, Xingxing dint., (Minya Konka) 1900 m, R. Cinotti 15.VII.2009 ” ( CB) .
Distribution. China (Sichuan).
Remarks. This species could be distinguished from its congeners by: 1) body large, ca. 10 mm; 2) frontal furrow shorter than anteocular furrow; 3) two paired punctures on frontal region; 4) head densely punctate, except a longitudinal impunctate region of 0.1 mm width, interspaces between punctures ca. puncture diameter; 5) pronotum bearing dense punctate rows, except a longitudinal impunctate region of 0.2 mm width, interspaces between rows ca. puncture diameter; 6) mesoscutellum bearing distinct isodiameter meshes; 7) each side of elytra bearing 9–10 rows of punctures; 8) interspaces between punctures on abdomen of 1–2 punctures’ diameter; 9) each basal impression on tergites impunctate and bearing distinctly isodiameter meshes.
