Holotype: Adult male ( BMNH 1988.399), collected by Colin and Sarah Tilbury. Type locality: in evergreen forest at 940 m asl., above the Chididi Police post, on top of Malawi Hills, southern Malawi.
Variation in adult coloration in an adult male and an adult female are illustrated in Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D and Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 E, respectively.
