Associated phytophagous mites: Tenuipalpus sp. on M. bella ; O. psidii on P. guajava ; Oligonychus sp. on C. pubescens and M. bella .
Previous records: Brazil — Bahia, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo; Colombia; Cuba; Guadeloupe; MarieGalante; Martinique Panama; Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
Remarks: The measurements of 5 adult females collected are similar to those of the holotype given by Aponte & McMurtry (1995). The average measurements followed by respective the ranges (in parentheses) are: dorsal shield length 364 (350–375), width 263, j1 22 (20–25), j3 30 (28– 33), j4 3, j5 3, j6 3, J2 3, J5 3, z2 3, z4 3, z5 3, Z1 3, Z4 3, Z5 114 (108–120), s4 105 (95–108), S2 3, S4 3, S5 3, r3 4, R1 3 (3–4), Sge I 45 (43–48), Sge II 30 (28–33), Sge III 42 (38–48), Sti III 27 (25–30), Sge IV 79 (63–88), Sti IV 52 (50–53), St IV 31 (30–33), St1–St3 50 (48–53), St2–St2 81 (78–83), St5–St5 111 (108–113), length of ventrianal shield 106 (100–110), width at ZV2 level 128 (125–133), width at anus level 119 (115–123), length of calyx of spermatheca 6 (5–8).
