Specimens examined: São Carlos: M. guianensis , IX 2001 (1); M. venulosa , I 2000 (1). Pirassununga: C. pubescens , VII 2000 (2), 04 2001 (1); M. guianensis , X 2001 (3).
Associated phytophagous mites: Tenuipalpus sp. on M. venulosa .
Previous records: Brazil — Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, São Paulo; Colombia; El Salvador; Honduras; Guatemala; Mexico; Peru; Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
Remarks: The measurements of 4 adult females collected are similar to those given in the original description.
