39. Lacerta rudis svanetica DAREVSKY et EISELT (1980: 32)

Holotype: ZISP 17875.1 , female, “Mestia in Swanetien, Grusinien, 43°03’N, 42°45’E, 1700 m Seeh ӧhe” [vicinity of Mestia , Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region, Georgia].

Etymology: Named after the subspecies type locality.

Present name: Darevskia rudis svanetica ( Darevsky et Eiselt, 1980) fide Arribas et al. (2013), Doronin (2017).

Remark: The original publication did not indicate that the type specimen was collected in the vicinity of Mestia. Here we provide holotype locality according to the original jar label—terra typica restricta ( Doronin 2017).
