TL: Silhet, Bangaldesh.

TD: lectotype, female, NHMUK.

Distribution in India: North West and eastern Himalayas, Sikkim ( Hampson 1892, Sanyal et al. 2018); Assam ( Joshi et al. 2021a), Himanchal Pradesh ( Pathania et al. 2021); Punjab ( Singh et al. 2019), Semi-arid zone ( Chandra et al. 2021). Global records: Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh (( Zolotuhin & Perekrasnov 2010).

Remark: Two other subspecies, Euthrix laeta austrina (de Lajonquière, 1978) from Vietnam, Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo (though Zolotuhin & Pinratana, 2005 erroneously mentioned from India also) and Euthrix laeta arina Zolotuhin & Perekrasnov, 2010 from Taiwan.
