Measurements: (2 specimens measured) Average total length: 10.7mm, range: 10.5–10.8mm, average elytral length: 6.8mm, average elytral width: 3.3mm, average pronotal length: 3.0mm, average pronotal width: 2.6mm, average head width: 2.4mm.
Head: Black; cranium vested with long and short yellowish setae, posterior part of clypeus dark redbrown to black, anterior margin nearly straight, posterior margin convex, vested with long setae, with distinct punctation; ventral part red-brown to black, smooth, except wrinkles behind the eyes; antennae red-brown, each antennomere becoming lighter apically, A8 dilated, A9 to A11 forming a distinct club, A9 separated from A10 and A11, antennae not reaching base of pronotum when laid back; gula deepened into head capsule, gular sutures diverging apically, gular process basally narrow, terminally dilated.
Thorax: Average pronotal length:width ratio 1.1:1; pronotum dark red-brown to black, pronotal arch somewhat lighter dorsally, densely vested with yellowish setae, pronotal arch narrowed, with distinct punctation laterally, dorsal punctation sparse and very fine, interstices larger than diameter of punctures, pronotum proper with coarse and dense punctation, punctation merging to longitudinal wrinkles; prosternum red-brown, smooth; mesosternum red-brown, margins darkened, vested with yellowish setae; metasternum dark-brown to black, vested with fine setae, punctation sparse; anterior metasternal process with two strongly sclerotized ventrally projecting edges, metathorax ventrally with two strongly sclerotized rims; scutellum oval, black.
Elytra: Average length:width ratio 2.1:1; base and apex black, remainder red to dark yellow, rectangular subcutaneous structures visible through reddish-yellow area, vested with short decumbent and longer erect setae, punctation relatively large, additional punctures between striae 1 and 2 in humeral region, striae reaching apical black part from third striae onwards, striae becoming shorter from ninth striae onwards, 10 th striae are indistinct, interstices between and within striae smaller than one diameter of punctures, punctation rasp-like in humeral region, especially carinated laterally next to striae.
Legs: Yellow, tarsal pulvilli pale with black lower surface; proximal spur elongate, on metatibia 2 to 3 times longer than distal spur, metatibiae more or less straight, tibial carination present, red-brown, not reaching end of tibia on anterior face.
Abdomen: Ventrites red-brown, punctation distinct, interstices about one diameter of punctures; lateral margins of male pygidium converging, very broad basally; male ventrite 6 narrow, emargination weak. Male genitalia ( Fig. 14 View FIGURE 14 ): Tegmen relatively short, dorsal plate dilated abruptly in apical third and becoming narrow towards the tip; phallic plates broad, tip narrow; spicular fork dividing into two branches after one fifth of length.
