Measurements: (7 specimens measured) Average total length: 7.6mm, range: 6.7–8.2mm, average elytral length: 5.4mm, average elytral width: 2.3mm, average pronotal length: 1.5mm, average pronotal width: 1.5mm, average head width: 1.5mm.

Head: Dark red-brown; cranium vested with short setae, with distinct punctation, interstices about one diameter of punctures; interocular depressions strongly developed, posterior part of clypeus red-brown, with long setae laterally, with indistinct punctation; ventral part red-brown, gula yellow, wrinkled, smooth centrally; antennae red-brown, antennomeres gradually decreasing in length from A3 towards A8, A9 to A11 forming a distinct club, A9 slightly separated from club, male antennae reaching base of pronotum when laid back; gular sutures parallel, gular process broad.

Thorax: Average pronotal length:width ratio 0.9:1; pronotum red-brown, smooth, vested with short yellowish setae, pronotal arch narrow, smooth, pronotum proper smooth; transverse sulcus on anterior part of mesosternum and mesepisternum indistinct; prosternum yellow, smooth; mesosternum yellow to red-brown, vested with yellowish setae; metasternum red-brown, vested with fine setae; scutellum oval, colored like surrounding elytra.

Elytra: Average length:width ratio 2.4:1; basal two thirds broadly surrounded red-brown, one red-brown spot on each elytron in basal half, vested with short decumbent and few longer erect setae, punctation relatively large, punctation in striae 1 to 4 very weak, only few scattered punctures, striae 5 to 8 with distinct punctation, punctation in striae 9 and 10 smaller, interstices between and within striae 5 to 8 equal, smaller than one diameter of punctures, punctation never rasp-like, carination absent.

Legs: Red-brown, coxa, trochanter and proximal part of femur yellow, tarsal pulvilli pale; metatibiae more or less straight, tibiae not carinated.

Abdomen: Ventrites red-brown, with weak punctation, interstices smaller one diameter of punctures; male pygidium broadest basally, apical margin concave; male ventrite 6 with distinct U-shaped emargination, lateral margins slightly concave. Male genitalia ( Fig. 25 View FIGURE 25 ): Tegmen dilated apically, sinus deep, V-shaped, lateral margins of dorsal sclerotization strongly folded; phallic plates dilated apically, on the left side one long tooth in ventral view; spicular fork dividing into two branches after one third of length.

Distribution: Nepal, India.

Seasonal occurrence: One of the specimens was collected in June.
