Measurements: (7 specimens measured) Average total length: 12.5mm, range: 9.9–14.7mm, average elytral length: 8.5mm, average elytral width: 3.5mm, average pronotal length: 3.2mm, average pronotal width: 2.5mm, average head width: 2.5mm.

Head: Red-brown, cranium vested with long and short yellowish setae, punctation distinct but sparse; posterior part of clypeus red-brown, margins darkened, with large punctation and a few long setae laterally, smooth centrally; ventral part smooth, except wrinkles behind the eyes; antennae red-brown, antennae sometimes becoming darker towards tip, A9 to A11 forming a distinct club, antennae reaching base of pronotum when laid back; gular sutures diverging apically, gular process narrow.

Thorax: Average pronotal length:width ratio 1.2:1; pronotum red-brown, vested with short yellowish setae, setae longer and arranged denser laterally, pronotal arch with sparse but distinct punctation, interstices mostly larger than diameter of punctures, pronotum proper with more coarse punctation, interstices mostly larger than diameter of punctures; prosternum red-brown, smooth, mesosternum yellow to red-brown, metasternum distinctly darker, punctation fine, interstices larger than diameter of punctures; anterior metasternal process with two strongly sclerotized, ventrally projecting, edges; scutellum oval, red-brown.

Elytra: Average length:width ratio 2.5:1; coloration uniformly red-brown, subcutaneous structures visible in the middle of striae 1 and 2, vested with short decumbent and few longer erect setae, punctation relatively large, striae 1 from first fifth on only visible as irregular subcutaneous punctation, striae 9 and 10 also indistinct, all striae obsolete in last fifth; interstices between striae larger than diameter of punctures, interstices within striae equal diameter of punctures; punctation sometimes slightly rasp-like in basal fifth, carination absent.

Legs: Yellow, femora apically and tibia basally black, tarsi brown to black, distinctly darker than apical part of tibia, tarsal pulvilli brown; metatibiae more or less straight, anterior and posterior face of each tibia carinate, on pro- and mesotibiae very weak, carination reddish.

Abdomen: Ventrites red-brown, becoming lighter to apex, with distinct punctation, interstices larger than diameter of punctures.

Distribution: India, Myanmar.

Seasonal occurrence: Collected in May.
