DISTRIBUTION: Kampuchea.
COMMENT: Included in Novibos by Coolidge, 1940, Mem. Mus Comp. Zool. Harv. Univ., 54(6):421-531, 11 pl; but see Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951:380. Perhaps extinct.
PROTECTED STATUS: CITES - Appendix I as Novibos (= Bos ) sauveli . U.S. ESA - Endangered as B. sauveli .
