TYPE LOCALITY: Burma, Tenasserim, Thagata Juva, southeast of Mt. Mulaiyit .

DISTRIBUTION: Thailand; peninsular Burma.

COMMENT: Included in muntjak by Haltenorth, 1963:42. Should probably include rooseveltorum (PG) . For spelling of the species name, see Grubb, 1977, Ann. Mus. Civ. Stor. Nat. Genova, 81:202-207.

PROTECTED STATUS: U.S. ESA - Endangered.
