COMMENT: Ozotoceros is the name to be used for Blastóceras, Fitzinger, 1860 , which has been used with reference to both Ozotoceros and the genus Blastocerus (Cabrera, 1961:329) , if Blastóceros is regarded as an invalid emendation of Blastocerus ; see Hershkovitz, 1958, Proc. Biol. Soc. Wash., 71:13- 16. Included in Odocoileus by Haltenorth, 1963:46; but see Corbet and Hill, 1980:120.
