TYPE LOCALITY: Mozambique, Tette .
DISTRIBUTION: C. Tanzania, S.W. Zaire and N. E. Angola to N.E. Zimbabwe and C. Mozambique.
COMMENT: Included in A. buselaphus by Haltenorth, 1963:102, but placed in separate genus, Sigmoceros by Vrba, 1979, J. Linn. Soc., 11:207 -228.
