TYPE LOCALITY: Senegal .

DISTRIBUTION: Senegal to N. E. Ethiopia, south to Ghana, Nigeria, and N. Cameroun.

COMMENT: Includes tilonura; see Gentry, 1972, Part 15.1:90; but also see Haltenorth, 1963:112. Groves, 1969, Z. Saugetierk., 34:38-60, included rufifrons in cuvieri , but subsequently (Groves, 1975, Z. Saugetierk., 40:308-319) separated them.
