Material examined. 10 specimens, collection number CINCAA 0090.
Remarks. This species has a right or acute angled anterior margin of the head and is armed with small spines, the typical characteristic of the subgenus Coronocephalus . ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ). Simocephalus serrulatus differs from Simocephalus semiserratus Sars, 1901 in the posterior-dorsal projection of the carapace, which in the former is larger and more marked ( Orlova-Bienkowskaja 1998).
