REMARKS.— Smith (1940: 384) mentioned additional specimens from “ Ghazni 7000 ft. ”, which probably refer to BMNH 1940.3.1. 25–33, and “Arbarp 7000 ft. ”, which probably refers to BMNH 1940.3.1. 34. This is a widespread species ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE ) in southern Afghanistan, occurring up to at least 2500 m a.s.l. on open ground, hiding in holes, rodent burrows or at the base of vegetation (Clark 1990) .
