Type material. Holotype: CHINA: male: "China: Guangxi, Huanjiang, Jiuwan Mt. , Qingshuitang , 25°11'59.36''N, 108°47'46.55''E, 450m, 24.iv.2021, Tang, Peng, Cai & Song leg. [ḞƱflữƌfffiƜÑAEdz]" ( SNUC) GoogleMaps . Paratypes: 4 females, same data as holotype. ( SNUC) GoogleMaps .
Diagnosis. Body reddish brown; head with umbilicate punctation; abdominal tergites lacking microsculpture; aedeagal ventral process wide and long in ventral view; dorso-lateral apophyses very thin and short, not reaching apex of ventral process.
Description. Body length 4.4–4.9 mm; forebody length 2.2–2.4 mm.
Body ( Fig. 1B View FIGURE 1 ) reddish brown; antennae and legs yellowish brown.
Head ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ) 1.00–1.14 times as long as wide; punctation very dense, moderately coarse, distinctly umbilicate and partly confluent, interstices lacking microsculpture; postocular portion approximately 1.8–1.9 times as long as eye length.
Pronotum ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ) 1.12–1.25 times as long as wide, 0.94–1.00 times as long and 0.86–0.89 times as broad as head; punctation non-umbilicate, moderately dense and as coarse as that of head; midline posteriorly with short and narrow impunctate elevation; interstices lacking microsculpture.
Elytra ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ) 0.62–0.63 times as long as wide, 0.54–0.55 times as long and 0.96–1.04 times as broad as pronotum; punctation as dense and coarse as that of pronotum; interstices lacking microsculpture.
Abdomen with punctation dense and rather coarse on tergites III–V, dense and less coarse on tergite VI, moderately dense and fine on tergites VII–VIII; interstices lacking microsculpture.
Male. Sternite VII ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ) with posterior margin shallowly emarginated in the middle. Sternite VIII ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 ) with triangular posterior excision. Aedeagus ( Figs 4C–F View FIGURE 4 ) moderately sclerotized; ventral process wide and long, with V-shaped excision at apex in ventral view; dorso-lateral apophyses very thin and short, nearly straight, not reaching apex of ventral process.
Distribution and habitat data. The species is known only from Jiuwan Mt. in northern Guangxi. The specimens were collected by sifting leaf litter at an altitude of 450 m.
Comparative notes. The new species is very similar to N. maoershanus Hu & Qiao, 2019 in general appearance and separated by the aedeagal characters: ventral process with V-shaped excision at apex in ventral view ( Figs 4C, D View FIGURE 4 ); dorso-lateral apophyses very thin and short, much shorter than ventral process ( Figs 4C, D View FIGURE 4 ).
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the name of the type locality: Qingshuitang.
