Distribution in Türkiye: Büyük Melen Stream, northwestern Anatolian Black Sea basin. ― Distribution in river basins: 13-Batı Karadeniz.― General distribution: Asia Minor: Büyük Melen drainage, southern Black Sea basin ( Türkiye). ― Distribution in ecoregions: 430-Northern Anatolia. ― Habitat: This species inhabits fast- to slow-flowing streams and rivers with sandy or gravel substrates.
