Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands ( Truxal 1953), St. Martin, St. Barthélemy, Antigua & Barbuda, Guadeloupe ( Nieser 1967), Honduras ( Truxal 1953), Nicaragua ( Mazzucconi 1999b), Costa Rica ( Herrera 2013), Panama ( Truxal 1953), Aruba, Curaçao, Klein Curaçao, Bonaire, Barbados ( Nieser 1967), Grenada ( Truxal 1953), Colombia ( Roback & Nieser 1974), Venezuela ( Nieser 1967), Peru ( Truxal 1953).

Distribution in Peru. San Martín, Junín ( Truxal 1953).

Note. Nieser & Alkins-Koo (1991) noted that the species from Trinidad & Tobago cited as “ Buenoa sp. nr. elegans ” by Hynes (1948) could be B. gracilis , but did not examine any specimens from the country.
