Cryptalaus Ȏhira, 1967: 97 . Type species: Alaus putridus Candèze, 1857 sensu Ȏhira, 1967 (= Alaus larvatus Candèze, 1874 ) (for more details see Ȏhira 1976: 32; Ȏhira 1990: 21; Kundrata et al., 2019: 104 and Parekar & Patwardhan 2021: 19987).

Paracalais Neboiss, 1967: 261 . Type species: Alaus suboculatus Candèze, 1857 (see Ȏhira 1990: 21).
