Type locality: Brazil, Amazonas, Manaus.
Holotype ♂ with labels: (1) printed on pink paper: “HOLOTIPO”; (2) handwritten on white paper: “ 21-XI-55 [21.xi.1955] | AMAZONAS | Manaus | Elias e Roppe col [Elias and Rappe collectors]”; (3) handwritten on white paper: “Ig. do Mariano [Igarapé do Mariano] | N° 71”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white paper: “ Lygistorrhina | cerqueirai | det. John Lane 195 6 [determiner]”; (5) printed on white paper: “MZ004328”.
Condition of type (figures 5–6). Pinned, wing and terminalia on separate, permanent slides, undetermined left leg and undetermined tarsus glued on triangle of paper. Missing parts: left antenna and left legs beyond the coxa.
