Type species. Malcus flavidipes Stål, 1859 View in CoL
Redescription. Body elongate. General ground color light yellowish brown to dark brown. Proximal part of head horizontal, anterior vertical. Eyes mostly sessile, situated antero-laterally. Ocelli situated on a common tubercle submedially. Antenniferous tubercle change into antennal sclerite and pre-antennal plate. Antennae long, the 1 st segment subcylindric, the 2 nd and 3 rd segments conspicuously thin, the 4 th segment fusiform. Corium narrow, lateral margin concave in the middle, apical corial angle with a conspicuous tubercle. Metathoracic wing without hamus. Peritreme of metapleural gland protruding. The abdominal laterotergites V–VII outward horizontally, lateral margin with some teeth.
