Comments. Diplosynapsis argentifascia was described based in 6 specimens from Peru (Cuzco, Junin) and Brazil (Pará). Enderlein (1914) deposited the specimens in the Stettiner Zoologisches Museum ( Alemanha ) . According to Papavero (2009) the syntypes are deposited in the Instytut Zoologiczny Polskiej Akademii Nauk ( IZPAN), Warsaw , Poland . According to the IZPAN curator (Thomas Huflejt 2012, in litt.), 2 syntypes with red labels were loaned to the National Museum of Natural History, London , ( NHM) and they have not been returned yet, and four specimens with yellow labels, labeled as ‘cotypes’, are deposited at IZPAN ( Figs. 1–4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ; 10–12). A loan request was sent to the IZPAN curator to study part of the syntypes, but the request was denied due to the institute’s policy. Nonetheless , photographs of these specimens were arranged for this study.

Distribution. Peru (Cuzco, Junín); Brazil (Pará) ( Fig. 75).
