Biological aspects: The examined specimens have been collected on slow flowing areas of a 2nd order stream with presence of marginal vegetation.

Comments: Part of the specimens recorded as H. argentina by Dias-Silva et al. (2010) were misidentified and correspond to those mentioned below. They were the first representatives of H. comata found in Brazil, on the Cerrado biome ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ). The species was later recorded from the Amazon biome by Moreira and Campos (2012).
