One type worker labelled “ Sayat Puy de Dome 650 m M.Avel, “ Leptothorax tristis Type Bondr.”; IRSNB Bruxelles. Another worker in IRSNB Bruxelles, labelled “Mt. Ventoux V:S. 1250 m 12-VIII-1917 \ A. Chobaut, coll. Minozzi ” and “ Leptothorax tristis Bondr. ”, cannot be considered a type because the locality Mt. Ventoux was not mentioned by BONDROIT (1918) .
