Miroculis (Miroculis) sp.

Distribution. Brazil (Tocantins).

Material examined. BRAZIL, Tocantins, Palmas, distrito de Taquaruçu do Porto , vale do Vai Quem Quer, 10°22’0.9”S / 48°8’1”W, 13-14.xi.2017, white sheet light trap, Krolow, T GoogleMaps . K coll. (1♂, CEUFT); 27-30.viii.2019, white sheet light trap, Fernandes, A.S. and team cols. (1♂, CEUFT)

Remarks. These specimens have an uncommon form of genitalia, with long penes that are curved at base, with the styliger plate expanded and posterior margin straight. This species is similar to Miroculis (Miroculis) samba Costa, Almeida & Salles 2019 recorded from the State of Espírito Santo, Miroculis (Miroculis) wolverine Costa, Almeida & Salles 2019 recorded from Colombia, Miroculis (Miroculis) niltoi Oliveira, Campos & Calor 2020 recorded from the State of Bahia and Miroculis (Miroculis) boldrinii Raimundi, Domínguez & Salles 2021 recorded from the State of Amazonas because they all share this uncommon form of genitalia. This record probably represents an undescribed species, but due to the limited number of specimens, future analyses are necessary to confirm its status. It was found in only one site in an area with Cerrado influence.
