Ecology. Epigeic species (Szederjesi 2013) found in gardens and soils rich with organic matter (Stojanović 1996), under bark of fallen trunks (Perel 1997).
Distribution in Montenegro. Northern Montenegro: Žabljak (Karaman & Stojanović 1995), river Tara (Karaman & Stojanović 1995); eastern Montenegro: Ivangrad, Kolašin (Šapkarev 1975; Mršić 1991), Bijelo Polje (Karaman & Stojanović 1995).
Zoogeographical distribution type. A common peregrine species introduced by man all over the world. However, according to Perel (1997) its probably original area was in the Caucasus region in Russia.
