NEPAL. Central Nepal: Kaski district, Kuldi, 2,300 m, Raskoti 001267 ( KATH).
Habitat: Terrestrial on the bank of an ephemeral stream in humus-rich places.
Flowering time: September
Distribution: China, Japan, Nepal, Taiwan
Note: Specimens collected from Nepal are slightly different from description of Epipogium japonicum in the protologue having lateral sepals falcate; smaller than the dorsal sepal, petals ovate, column very short, 3 mm long (vs. ca. 8 mm), pollinia globose (vs. ovoid).
